🏒 2025 Local League Player Registration Guide

📅 Registration Period: June 1 – June 21

✅ Why Register in June?

  • Helps us plan team sizes and prepare for the season over the summer months

  • Ensures priority placement on the team and centre that you select

  • Avoids potential waiting lists after June 21 if divisions/teams are full

🧊 Initiation Program @ U6 Only

  • This will be a Joint Program between Midland & Penetang.

  • All U6 players will be grouped together regardless of association/affiliation.

  • Players will be able to go on the ice twice each week - once in Midland and/or once in Penetang

🧒 U7 and Older Players

  • Choose your association when registering:

    • Midland Centennials → Practice & play at North Simcoe Sports & Recreation Centre (NSSRC)

    • Penetang Flames → Practice & play at Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre (PMCC)

🛑 Important:
Team sizes and the number of teams depend on the number of players registered in each center.

If registration numbers do not support forming a full team:

  • We will work with neighboring local league associations to find placement.

  • Returning players will receive priority.

  • Families will be contacted directly if this applies.

💸 Payment Info

  • Installment plans available – full payment due by September 1.

  • No uniform fees – registration includes:

    • 2 game jerseys (home & away) for use during the season

    • 2 pairs of socks (home & away) for you to keep

Using Financial Assistance?

If you’re using JumpStart, We Are the Villagers, or another third-party funder, then select the Third Party Funding Player Registration option when you register.

You will be contacted by the registrar with a form to complete indicating how you plan to pay for the season's funds including the third party funder you will be applying to.  


📌 You must arrange funding during the summer so standard payment deadlines still apply.  Do not delay in applying for funding.

🫡 Respect in Sport - Parent

If your family is new to minor hockey, then you must complete the Respect in Sport - Parent module offered for a small fee from the OMHA. This must be completed by at least one  member per family.
