Get ready for the upcoming season with our optional Pre-Skate Sessions! These sessions provide players with a chance to get back on the ice, build confidence, and prepare for player evaluations in a fun, low-pressure environment. These are not tryouts - and the head coach for the future rep teams will not be present. Just go out for a skate with current and potential future teammates.
Details:
- 50 min/1 hour sessions of drills, small-area games and/or scrimmages
- 3-4 sessions per age group (mixed age groups to ensure enough participants)
- Completely optional – attend as many sessions as you like - 0 to 4 sessions total
Eligibility:
- Available to players who participated in Penetang Minor Hockey Association, Midland Minor Hockey Association or were an NRP or AAA player from those associations this past season.
- Non-local players wishing to attend player evaluations for Georgian Bay Islanders are not allowed to attend our pre-skates and must attend their own association's pre-skates.
- Players whose team is still active in league or OMHA play-offs are not eligible to attend until their team's season has concluded.
- U18 pre-skates will be held in September in advance of the fall player selection windows for this age group.
- Players are only eligible to attend pre-skates with their own age group. No exceptions.
Pricing/Payment:
- Cost: $10 per session
- Payment Options: Credit card payment at time of registration
- Refunds: No refunds will be given for any reason.
Registration Information:
- Spots are limited! Each session is capped at 30 skaters and 4 goalies.
- If necessary, a waitlist will be formed if all spots have been filled. Players on this waitlist will be given priority entry into the following weeks session.
- Players in overlapping age groups can select either of the two sessions to attend but must attend the session they registered for.
